5 people die of dengue, 636 hospitalized

Five more people have died of dengue in the country in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 636 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals across the country.

This information was given in a press release sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Monday (September 15). In the release, the Directorate General of Health Services provided 24-hour information from 8 am on Sunday (September 14) to 8 am today, Monday.

It said that among the patients admitted to hospitals due to dengue in the last 24 hours, 131 were in Barisal division (outside the City Corporation), 92 in Chittagong division (outside the City Corporation), 131 in Dhaka division (outside the City Corporation), 105 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 97 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 29 in Khulna division (outside the City Corporation), six in Mymensingh division (outside the City Corporation), 34 in Rajshahi division (outside the City Corporation), seven in Rangpur division (outside the City Corporation) and four in Sylhet division (outside the City Corporation).

In the last 24 hours, 502 dengue patients have been discharged from the hospital. So far this year, 36,528 dengue patients have been discharged from the hospital.

As of September 15 this year, 38,527 people have been admitted to hospitals due to dengue. Of these, 60.2 percent are men and 39.8 percent are women.

Of those who died of dengue in the last 24 hours, three are women and the remaining two are men. 155 people have died of dengue so far this year.
